Free Web Design Workshop for Newcomers, October 2017

Program Details

Our next workshop series is for newcomers and will be available in English. Our instructors are web design professionals and digital marketing specialists with international experience, who bring their versatile skills to teach upcoming top talent in Toronto’s tech industry.

Workshop Topics include:

• Domain names
• Choosing web hosting
• Mail server setup
• Installing and setting up WordPress
• Installing and using Plugins
• Installing & using themes & templates
• Creating & optimizing pages
• Creating blog posts
• Using contact & subscription form
• Using widgets
• Creating & using menus, header & footer.

Program Requirement & Admission:

If you’re a newcomer aged 16-40 who have recently arrived in Canada and are looking to build skills in basic web design, sign up for our workshop here.

The workshop is on Saturday 21 October at Rosaline’s downtown office on the seventh floor of 2 Bloor Street West.

All applications will be reviewed, and Rosaline staff will choose eight participants. We will contact successful applicants by Monday 16 October 2017.
